Lake Allatoona, officially Allatoona Lake, is a 12,010-acre reservoir located on the Etowah River in northwestern Georgia, primarily within Bartow and Cherokee Counties, with a small portion extending into Cobb County. This U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lake boasts a 270-mile shoreline and a maximum depth of 145 feet. It is a popular recreational destination offering a wide range of activities, including boating, fishing, swimming, and camping. Anglers can find various species such as bass (largemouth, spotted, striped, and hybrid), crappie, catfish, and bream.

The area around Lake Allatoona features numerous public recreation areas, including boat ramps, campgrounds, and picnic sites.
